Smugglers Cottage is pleased to be part of The Seal Project.  A devon-based charity that promotes education and awareness about the UK seal population.  A remotely operated camera is mounted on Smugglers to record Seal numbers in the river.  The floating platfrom in the river opposite the cottage is a favourite resting haunt for some of the river's seals.

We encourage our guests to log in to The Seal Project and send in your seal sightings with a date, and photo, and location.
